Evidence based practice is the integration of treatments that are scientifically supported as effective in the treatment of specific disorders while adapting to individual personality, life experiences, and current struggles. Client values, goals, and preferences are highly regarded in choosing the treatment approach and it isn't uncommon for a variety of approaches to be integrated and adapted to suit a client's needs.
Several modalities have been researched and identified as effective in the treatment of eating disorders. Rebecca is trained and experienced in the following treatment approaches and incorporates them into her work as appropriate:
Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E) and other cognitive behavioral approaches for eating disorders including CBT for Binge Eating Disorder
Rebecca is also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety and depression, dialectical behavioral therapy for emotion regulation, and couples therapy models.
